Grandma came to visit for Thanksgiving, and the boys were extremely happy to spend so much time with her :) Over the long weekend we were able to go to Theresa's house for Thanksgiving dinner and see the Masons, Lita and Papi, and the Blackwells, and we Skyped a lot with the Bolingbrook cousins. Mike and I enjoyed a date night at the Blackhawks/Stars game (our first hockey game together, and first date night out in a couple of months!) and all of us spent one nice morning at the zoo, too. Joseph was angry that we went out on the date night. According to Grandma, he screamed for a long time until he finally tired himself out and fell asleep on the floor next to Mike's shoes. He wasn't really sad, just mad we weren't there. But, he has to learn to deal sometimes. It's nice when you have an experienced sitter who isn't fazed by these things :)
The weather was gorgeous all weekend. At the zoo we enjoyed a picnic lunch, used our membership tickets to get the boys a ride on the merry-go-round, and checked out the penguins and African animals (including the lions, although not the male ones since one of them recently killed another one - ah, nature). Oh, and Charlie Brown got to see everything too - Michael was careful to make sure he got a good view.
