Peg the Hen

Last week, when we were doing Starfall with Michael, he read the whole "short a" short story to me. The next day, Amanda came over and he read the story for her, then kept going with the "short e," "long a," and "short o" stories. I don't think he's memorized them because he points to each word and thinks about it before he says it, so I'm pretty sure he is reading them. It's so exciting to see the start of that comprehension! I have worked with little kids before on reading and am happy to be on that journey with my own little boy now.
