Eight months old

We certainly have a fun baby here. At eight months old he is now waving to everyone, not necessarily on cue but at least to the animals painted in his room every time he wakes up. Gaining a lot of skill on standing and sitting, he's just starting to cruise short distances around tables. He is getting closer to distinct syllables. And Amanda let us know this morning that she felt his first tooth poking through! I thought he had just been more fussy and restless than usual while nursing the past few nights. Poor boy. He is mostly pretty unfazed, though, luckily - just chewing away on things more than normal. We are taking him to Detroit this weekend for the Lawler family reunion. It will be Michael's eighth different city (besides Dallas) in eight months, so that's pretty fitting. Hopefully he'll sleep better than Atlanta, but I won't bet on it with the teething . . .
