Friday night we attended the Valley View Education Enrichment Foundation's Vegas Experience at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. I think everyone who lives in Bolingbrook was at the event, so that saved us a lot of time traveling around town.
Saturday we went in Forest Park for breakfast at Dan and Kelly's house. They were kind enough to make breakfast for us and their friends. We got to see all the great progress they made on their house since moving there in the fall. Then we met Michael, his girlfriend Melissa, and Amanda for lunch for Michael's 24th birthday at Bar Louie in Oak Park. After that I attempted to join my family back in Forest Park for the post-parade bar crawl, but the crowds and the rain were a bit too much.
We spend early Saturday evening relaxing in the much quieter Dubliner back in Bolingbrook, before everyone decided that 8 pm was late enough to hang out after the night we had on Friday. Also, Michael had caught a bit of a cough and we thought it would be best to take him home early. He slept mostly okay, but kept us up with his impression of Darth Vader.
Sunday, my Dad's brother and sisters in South Bend came to see Michael, and by that time he had recovered and was mostly awake for them.
On the plane ride home he slept the entire time.
Thank you to everyone who we saw while we were there, especially those who continued to give Michael more cute outfits. It was great to see everyone and introduce Michael to Chicago!
