Conversations this morning

Michael: "Stop talking to me!"
Malcolm: "No, you stop talking to ME!"
Michael: "No, I said YOU stop talking to ME."
(Repeat four times.)
Both: "Mooooom!!  He's TALKING TO ME!!"

Malcolm (whining): "I don't want to go to preschool today."
Michael: "That's okay, Malcolm, it's Saturday so we don't go to preschool today."
Malcolm (whining): "But I WANT to go to preschool today!"

Michael (playing with trains): "Uh oh, there's a crack in the track!"
Malcolm (dismayed): "A crack in the TRACK?"
Michael: "Yes. Call Harold!"
Malcolm: "Okay. (Puts pretend phone to ear.) Hello, Harold?  There's a crack in the track. Can you please come fix it? Great."
Michael: "How long did he say?  Just a minute?"
Malcolm: "No.  Two minutes."
Michael: "Great.  Thanks for calling him."
