Greatest smile ever

Malcolm is a highly expressive baby. This week he's suddenly picked up four new signs, which is very exciting for us - in addition to more, milk, and all done that he's had for quite awhile, he can now do car, cold, cheese, and hungry. He's so pleased with himself when he makes the signs, it's great. There's a few distinguishable sounds other than Mama, Dada and more; new ones include buh-bye, nana (for banana), agua (well, sometimes you can hear this one), and ah-duh (all done). Everything else is very insistent, variable babbling, and pointed fingers - which is pretty effective in itself.

He likes to close closet and bedroom doors saying buh-bye to everyone, then open the doors back up and grin. Only sometimes does he get whacked in the head by Michael doing the same thing, but he's pretty tough so he usually takes it in stride. He loves pushing buttons, so the remote controls and play phones are great toys. And he wants everything Michael has. If I don't clear the table immediately after Michael gets up (challenging to gauge when to do this, since Michael hops up and down quite frequently during meals even though we always tell him about table manners) - Malcolm will make a beeline for the table, peek up over the side, and grab any food/bowls/cups that happen to be in reach. He is *fast*!  He's also fast when climbing.  Just when I thought it was safe to relax a notch at the playground because Michael can handle things, Malcolm can now climb all the way up equipment but has no idea how to get down or slide by himself.

One other new physical thing he can do is get on and off the little riding toy he got for his birthday. I thought it was cute :)
