The process of learning how to communicate can be pretty amusing to observe. Michael's latest method of communicating is to prompt us with the question he wants us to ask him: "Do you want to go swimming?" He will keep repeating the question until you finally ask it back to him in those exact words - no other replies are permitted - and then he can answer "Yes!" Other questions are: Did you hurt your toe? Do you want to go in Daddy's car? Do you have a poopy diaper? (Sigh.) Yes!
Another one made me laugh out loud this weekend. Waking up from his nap, Michael said without preamble, "I can have grapes?" I said, "How are you doing, sweetheart?" He countered, "How are you doing, grapes?"
